Editorial Policy

How we create, review and maintain the content and calculators on Solve Formulas.

Last updated: June 7, 2026

Accuracy first

Every formula, derivation and worked example is checked against standard mathematical references before publication. Calculators are tested with known inputs, worked examples and edge cases (such as division by zero, impossible triangles and negative values) to make sure the results and error messages are correct.

How content is created

Each page is written to serve a single, clear purpose: explain one formula well and let the reader compute with it. We aim for plain language, correct notation rendered with proper math typesetting, and explanations of why a formula works, not just how to plug in numbers.

Review and fact-checking

Drafts are reviewed for mathematical correctness, clarity and completeness. We verify that the visible content matches any structured data we publish, that examples compute correctly, and that internal links point to relevant, working pages.

Updates and corrections

Pages display a "Last updated" date. When we revise content for accuracy or clarity, we update that date. If you find an error, please report it through our contact page, we prioritize corrections and will fix confirmed mistakes promptly.

Independence

Educational content is written independently of any advertising. Advertisements, where present, are clearly labelled and never alter the mathematics or the explanations we publish.
